Student Projects
In this project, the student Gayth Yunis, in his first year of Electrical and Electronic Engineering Department at Gulf University, used Arduino and the sensor DHT11, which is designed to measure the humidity and temperature of a given area. The measured values are displayed on an LCD screen. We can adjust the brightness of the screen with the potentiometer.
All in all, the Temperature and Humidity Sensor is a great device to measure temperature and humidity in any given environment. With its easy-to-use interface, robust design, and reliable reading accuracy, it makes taking accurate readings a breeze. Whether you’re using this to keep track of the weather in your area or to measure the temperature inside your home, the Temperature and Humidity Sensor is the perfect device for the job.
The student project involves creating an advanced irrigation system that can automatically water plants based on their moisture levels. This means never forgetting to water or over-watering your plants, which results in healthier, happier plants. The key element of this system was a moisture sensor, which detects when the soil is dry and activates a water pump to nourish the plant. The main board used was an Arduino Uno, which served as the brain of the system. It was responsible for receiving data from the humidity sensor, processing it, and sending signals to the water pump and the LCD screen.Â
