Scientific Lecture at Gulf University

The College of Law at Gulf University hosted a distinguished scientific lecture on Wednesday, December 11th, titled “Public Budget and Budgeting,” delivered by Dr. Nasser as part of the Public Finance and Tax Legislation course. 

The lecture aimed to enhance students’ understanding of key financial concepts related to the public budget and its preparation mechanisms, as well as the relationship between tax policies and budget financing. 

The lecture covered several topics, including: 

  • An explanation of the concept of the public budget and its preparation process, from planning to approval by legislative bodies. 
  • Clarifying the differences between the public budget and the financial plan, and the role of each in managing financial resources. 
  • Discussing international and regional examples of how tax legislation impacts budget financing. 

Students praised the depth of the information provided and the importance of linking theoretical concepts with practical realities through case studies and practical examples, reflecting the university’s efforts in delivering quality education that enhances students’ competencies.
