Center Achievements

Gulf University has successfully completed its International Quality Review (IQR) and been awarded global quality accreditation by QAA. The university received the formal report in September 2024 which confirms that the University meets all 10 internal quality assurance standards in the ESG.

The university successfully completed the institutional review by BQA and received a judgment of “Compliant with the General Framework Standards”.

Gulf University managed to receive recognition from Ministry of Education in United Arab Emirates. The university also managed to receive recognition from the Jordanian The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. This is considered as a huge step towards repositioning GU regionally and being able to attract more international students.

During the academic year 2024-2025, Master of Business Administration Program with 4 tracks, Bachelor in Mass Communication program with 2 tracks received final reports of NQF placement. Bachelor in Interior Design  Engineering Program also is placed on NQF and the final report will be published on BQA website. With this, 5 of our offered local programs are placed on NQF. Master in Human Resource Management program and BA (Hons) Advertising and Digital Marketing program also received foreign alignment  which are franchised programs of University of Northampton. 

Arab University Ranking: The university applied for the Arab Ranking issued by Association of Arab Universities. The application was completed in 22/23 and GU was listed in 23/24. GU was the only university from Bahrain and managed to be ranked 52^nd among Arab Universities.

Green Metrics Rankings: The university also applied for the GreenMetrics Ranking which ranks universities based on sustainability. GU was the third university from Bahrain to be ranked and managed to be ranked 886^th among world universities.

THE impact ranking: GU applied for the reputed THE Impact ranking which ranks university based on their sustainability impact. GU appeared first time in this ranking with 1500^th world rank and 171^st Arab rank.  The university has chosen SDG 4, 5 and 9 including mandatory SDG 17. THE Impact ranking allow to choose any 3 SDGs out of 17 SDGs while SDG 17 is mandatory.
