Professor Mona Rashid Al-Zayani, Chairperson of the Board of Directors and Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of Gulf University, expressed her deep thanks to the Cabinet of Ministers under the chairmanship of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Prime Minister, for agreeing to sign the new agreement with the Ministry of Works.
Professor Al-Zayani emphasized the vital role played by the Gulf University in serving Bahraini society and strengthening cooperation with government institutions, where the Gulf University remains the leading provider of support and training to national competencies.
The new Convention includes several important areas, the implementation of graduation projects for the Ministry of Works and the organization of joint scientific events and conferences. The Convention also provides the University with free training courses and workshops for the Ministry’s staff, as well as specialized consultations and technical support to improve staff efficiency. The Convention will promote the exchange of scientific, research and cultural visits between the parties, with the Ministry’s staff granted access to the University’s online library.
In the framework of strengthening international relations and opening new prospects for cooperation, the Gulf University reaffirmed its commitment to opening new relations with the local community, government institutions and international organizations. Through the conclusion of these agreements, the University aims to enhance its educational and research experiences and expand cooperation with various entities locally and internationally, thereby contributing to the realization of Bahrain’s Vision 2030 and promoting sustainable development in the region.
In this context, Professor Muhannad Al-Mashhadani, President of the Gulf University, expressed his pleasure and pride in strengthening the partnership with the Ministry of Works, stressing that this agreement is a model for fruitful cooperation between academic institutions and government agencies and effectively contributes to the achievement of the goals of Bahrain Vision 2030.
Dr. Tamer Kaddash, Head of International Relations at Gulf University, said: “We seek to strengthen international relations by opening up new horizons for our students through field training and the implementation of projects that reflect the needs of society. We are also committed to providing technical and advisory support to the Ministry’s staff, thereby enhancing the exchange of experiences and contributing to the development of national capacities in various areas. “
It should be noted that the Gulf University has concluded many agreements with government institutions and civil society organizations, including the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Housing and the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock. These agreements affirm the Gulf University’s commitment to strengthen partnership with various government and civil agencies to improve and develop the services provided to society.
Dr. Mona Rashid Al-Zayani and all members of the Gulf University reaffirmed their constant commitment to serving and developing Bahraini society and building the capacity of its children. The Gulf University remains committed to its core mission of supporting and meeting society’s needs and working to strengthen the capacities of individuals and communities to achieve sustainable development.
During the current year, the Gulf University has opened the Digital Advertising and Marketing Programme in cooperation with Northampton University in the United Kingdom and is awarded a certified certificate by the United Kingdom in this specialty. The University also offers other academic programs in collaboration with Northampton University, such as a bachelor’s degree in electrical, electronic, and mechanical engineering.
It should be noted that the University has institutional accreditation and all its programmes are trusted by the Education and Training Quality Authority, IET Associate Membership Certificate from the Engineering and Technology Foundation of the United Kingdom “The Institution of Engineering and Technology”, and membership of the Association of Colleges of Journalism and Mass Media (ASJMC), professional international accreditation from the Royal British Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) To be the first academic program in the Middle East to receive this accreditation, the University has also obtained international AASCB membership and accreditation of the British Association of Chartered Accountants.
