Position Summary:
The Lab Assistant is responsible for supporting the effective delivery of laboratory experiments and technical sessions within the Electrical and Electronic Engineering program. The role involves the preparation, maintenance, and organization of lab equipment and materials, as well as ensuring safety protocols are followed. The Lab Assistant works closely with faculty and students to facilitate hands-on learning experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- – Prepare lab components, kits, and setups for each scheduled experiment.
- – Assist instructors during practical sessions to ensure smooth operation and student safety.
- – Provide technical support to students during lab sessions.
- – Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair laboratory equipment and tools.
- – Calibrate instruments and ensure they are in working condition.
- – Maintain inventory and request replenishment of lab materials and components.
- – Prepare experiment sheets and manuals under the supervision of instructors.
- – Maintain lab logs and documentation of all equipment usage and maintenance.
- – Enforce and monitor compliance with health and safety regulations.
- – Ensure proper disposal of electronic waste and adherence to environmental guidelines.

Required Qualifications:
Education:
- – Bachelor’s degree (BSc) in Electrical, Electronic, or Computer Engineering.
Experience:
- – Minimum of 2 years of industrial experience in a technical or engineering environment.
- – Prior experience in an academic lab setting is preferred.

- – Proficiency in handling electrical/electronic instruments and tools.
- – Familiarity with circuit simulation software (e.g., Multisim, MATLAB/Simulink) is a plus.
- – Strong organizational and troubleshooting skills.
- – Ability to communicate effectively with students and faculty.

- – Proficiency in handling electrical/electronic instruments and tools.
