Under the patronage of His Excellency Lieutenant-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Ministerial Committee for Information and Communications Technology, Gulf University achieved a remarkable milestone in its journey toward digital transformation and technological innovation. The university secured first place for Best Private Sector Website in the 2025 eGovernment Excellence Award, in addition to being nominated in two other award categories.
This achievement comes as a culmination of the university’s continuous efforts to enhance its digital platforms and improve the quality of its online services. The accomplishments included winning first place for Best Private Sector Website, recognizing the website’s excellence in design, user-friendly interface, accessibility, and seamless digital experience.
The university was also nominated in the category of Best Integrated eServices for its Student Portal, which offers a unified and advanced system that enables students to efficiently manage their academic and service requirements.
Additionally, the university received a nomination for Best eParticipation for its AI-powered electronic survey project, which has contributed to improving student engagement and strengthening educational performance indicators.
On this occasion, Prof. Muhannad Al-Faras, President of Gulf University, stated:

Winning first place and securing top nominations reflects our commitment to developing integrated, reliable digital services that enhance the student experience and strengthen the university’s position. I extend my sincere appreciation to our department members for their dedication, creativity, and teamwork, which formed the foundation of this success.”
Gulf University continues to reinforce its leadership in the higher education sector by investing in digital transformation and adopting advanced technologies that support the quality of education and e-services. This achievement reflects the university’s commitment to elevating efficiency and innovation and strengthening its role in supporting Bahrain’s Vision 2030 toward a more advanced digital future and a smarter learning environment.
The university also announces that registration is still open for the Spring semester of the 2025–2026 academic year in the College of Engineering, College of Communication and Media Technologies, College of Administrative and Financial Sciences, and College of Law.
