The Gulf University is delighted to announce that it has successfully achieved its institutional accreditation from the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education, UK. This is the outcome of the International Quality Review conducted by QAA review team, which is the testimony of university’s commitment to delivering high quality education of international standard. The review team concluded that GU meets all 10 Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area (ESG).
The QAA review team conducted a comprehensive, evidence-based review process, adhering to the rigorous guidelines outlined in the International Quality Review handbook. The review took place from July 9th to 11th 2024, during this period, the team engaged in extensive discussions, interviews and meetings with the President of Gulf University, Prof. Mohanad Al-Mashadani, senior management, academic staff, administrative staff, a group of students, a group of alumni and employers, and quality assurance staff.
Overall, Gulf University meets all standards related to the International Quality Review, which allows universities outside of the United Kingdom to be accredited under the QAA. Providing quality education is one of the pillars at Gulf University, focusing on promoting a multicultural environment and supporting staff, and graduates in reaching personal and professional goals.
This prestigious accreditation shows our commitment to quality education of global standard, it will not only enhance the university’s reputation both nationally and internationally but also, promote greater trust among stakeholders.
Professor (Dr.) Mohannad Al Mashhadani, President of GU, expressed his immense pride and satisfaction in university’s successful completion of the QAA review and attainment of international accreditation. He emphasized that it is the endeavor of the Gulf University to provide high-quality education in a dynamic learning environment focusing on innovation and technology along with industry engagement.
Prof. Mashhadani acknowledged the efforts of the Board of Trustees, faculty, and administrative staff on their continuous commitment to deliver educational programs, provide support services, and contribute to research, and community engagement. He further mentioned that the GU’s academic programs are designed to prepare students to gain 21st-century skills to become competitive professionals in their disciplines, by focusing on the challenges of the economy and sustainable development goals.
Dr. Rumpa Roy, Director of the Quality Assurance and Development Center at Gulf University, extended her heartfelt congratulations to the university staff, students, and other stakeholders. “This milestone reflects our dedication to delivering high-quality education that meets international standard and prepare students to become global citizens. The programs offered at Gulf University include Bachelor’s programs in Interior Design Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Law, Accounting & Financial Science, Human Resources Management, Mass Communications, Advertising & Digital Marketing. It’s important to highlight how the College of Engineering at Gulf University has received the IET associate membership from the Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET) in the UK. As well as Master’s programs in Mass Communications, Human Resources Management, and Masters in Business Administration.
Faculty members of the College of Engineering have obtained IET associate membership from the Institute of Engineering and Technology, UK, which is Europe’s largest professional and non-profit organization for the development and promotion of Science and Technical Engineering.
Gulf University is proud to announce its institutional accreditation by the Education and Training Quality Authority, ensuring that all of its academic programs meet the highest standards of quality.
Additionally, it possesses an IET Associate Membership from the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) in the United Kingdom, as well as membership in the Association of Colleges of Journalism and Mass Media (ASJMC). Notably, the University is the first in the Middle East to receive professional international accreditation from the Royal British Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) affirming its leadership in public relations education and practice. Furthermore, it has achieved international membership from AASCB and accreditations from ACCA & CIPD from UK and ICMA, Australia, signifying its commitment to global standards in business education.
