Gulf University’s Center for Community Service and Continuing Education (CCSCE) organized a groundbreaking awareness exhibition titled “Towards Comprehensive Awareness & Sustainable Security,” in partnership with various departments from the Ministry of Interior. The event aimed to enhance public awareness of security-related issues and promote a culture of safety, in line with Bahrain’s Vision 2030, which emphasizes sustainable development and community security.
The exhibition brought together a distinguished group of specialists from the Ministry of Interior, who conducted interactive workshops and awareness sessions on security and safety measures. Among the key sessions was a specialized lecture by the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Evidence, which covered the role of the Crime Scene Unit, strategies for combating drug abuse, and mechanisms for countering human trafficking. Additionally, the General Directorate of Traffic delivered a session on road safety, demonstrating how traffic patrol vehicles monitor and enforce traffic regulations.
Furthermore, the Coast Guard Command showed its efforts in securing and enhancing maritime safety, while the General Directorate of Civil Defense provided a comprehensive session on firefighting techniques and emergency response procedures. The event also featured a lecture on financial investigations and anti-money laundering, shedding light on the risks associated with financial crimes and strategies to combat them.
This exhibition reflects Gulf University’s ongoing efforts—through its Center for Community Service and Continuing Education—to raise public awareness in collaboration with relevant authorities, contributing to a safer and more sustainable environment. It aligns with Bahrain’s Vision 2030, which aspires to build a knowledge-based, secure, and community-driven society.
