Gulf University proudly introduces the Global Diversity Scholarship Program—a fully funded tuition scholarship designed to attract high-achieving and culturally diverse students from around the world to pursue undergraduate studies in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Scholarship Covers
- 100% coverage of university tuition fees only
- Not included: Living expenses, travel, accommodation, or health insurance

Scholarship Categories
Applicants can apply under one or more of the following categories:
- Awarded to students with exceptional academic performance.
- Minimum GPA requirement: 3.7/4.0 or equivalent.
- Covers tuition ONLY
- For students who have demonstrated leadership in cultural exchange, international cooperation, or community service.
- Encourages cultural representation and global engagement.
- Covers tuition ONLY
- For students excelling in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).
- Priority for students contributing to research, patents, or technological innovation.
- Covers tuition ONLY
- Awarded to students with exceptional abilities in sports, performing arts, media, or entrepreneurship.
- Encourages representation from diverse cultural and creative backgrounds.
- Covers tuition ONLY
- For students from underprivileged communities or those contributing to social causes.
- Priority for applicants involved in humanitarian work, NGOs, or sustainable development projects.
- Covers tuition ONLY
- Awarded to students from designated countries under agreements with embassies, international schools, and government organizations.
- Strengthens Gulf University’s international partnerships and student representation.
- Covers tuition ONLY
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for the Global Diversity Scholarship Program, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Hold a minimum GPA of 3.7 out of 4.0 (or equivalent) in their high school qualification.
- Be between 18 and 22 years of age at the time of application.
- Demonstrate English language proficiency through one of the following:
- IELTS score of 6.0
- TOEFL score of 550 (paper-based)
- Equivalent standardized English test score
(Scores must be valid within two years from the test date.)
- Submit a recent and comprehensive medical report.
- Demonstrate outstanding achievement or strong potential in the selected scholarship category.
- Ensure all required application documents are submitted before the stated deadline.
- Present an up-to-date CV.
- Submit a personal statement video (maximum 3 minutes) introducing themselves and explaining why they should be selected for the Global Diversity Scholarship Program. (Refer to sample video)
- Be a national of one of the eligible countries listed below.
