Globally, the university climbed to 750th place in the UI GreenMetric World University Rankings 2025 or sustainability. This ranking is the most prominent international metric for measuring university commitment to environmental sustainability, and this year represents the university’s best global performance since joining the ranking.

In the Kingdom of Bahrain, Gulf University secured the second position across all universities and the first position among private institutions. The 2025 ranking saw a qualitative leap for Gulf University, as it advanced 116 positions globally compared to the previous year.
