In the presence of His Highness Sheikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Deputy President of the General Sports Authority, the third World CIO 200 Summit 2024 Bahrain Awards for AI was held in partnership with Sheikh Nasser Center for AI Research and Development and organized by the Global AI Group in collaboration with GEC Media UAE.
During the ceremony, Professor Mohanned Al Mashhadani, President of Gulf University, was honored for embedding AI into the academic curricula and all the university programs. The Director of Digital Transformation Center, Mr. Ali Mansoor, was honored as well for the second time as a “Legend 2024” for his consecutive contributions to supporting and enhancing AI into the university management systems. This recognition acknowledges the university’s outstanding efforts and valuable contributions to the rapidly growing field of AI regionally and globally. This accolade underscores Gulf University’s commitment to fostering innovation and technological advancement by providing cutting-edge systems and software for students and IT systems, which enrich the end user experience at the university.
The event also recognized the top 38 leading executives in AI from both public and private sectors in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The summit included panel discussions on AI and digital transformation.
His Highness Sheikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa expressed his pride in the honorees’ role in supporting AI initiatives, highlighting their leadership across multiple sectors and their belief in the capabilities of national talents.
