Teaching & Learning Statement

Ms. Sandra aims at promoting an inclusive teaching environment where students are encouraged to participate, collaborate with each other, think and reflect. She aspires to motivate her students to apply concepts learnt to resolve issues in real-life scenarios. Through these, students are moulded to be proactive learners, strengthening future employability and entrepreneurship. She ensures that students keep up with skills, tools and techniques relevant to the industry.

Experience

Ms. Sandra Job is an Architect who currently works as a Lecturer in the department of Architecture and Interior Design in Gulf University. She has a Master’s degree in Architecture (M. Arch) with a specialization in Urban Design and a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from the University of Bahrain. During her studies, she has worked as a freelance architect for residential projects in India. She has worked and trained under Interior and Architectural Firms in Bahrain and has participated in International conferences and research.

Research Interest

Ms. Sandra’s research interests include Phenomenology, Liveability, Sustainability, Behaviour, Integration of Nature in Spaces and more. Through her research, she aims at contributing to literature in Architecture, Interior Design and Urban Design. Thus, providing guidelines/ solutions for Architects and Interior Designers to improve their designs. She looks forward to collaborating with like-minded researchers around the world.
