The Engineering booth at Mara’ee Bahrain showcased how technology can foster positive change in agriculture and beyond. Engineering Staff along with the students presented an innovative solution that employs advanced AI algorithms and moisture sensors to optimize irrigation schedules, ensuring that plants receive the right amount of water precisely when needed. The system is managed by an ESP32 microcontroller, which activates a water pump when soil moisture levels fall and deactivates it once optimal conditions are restored. Additionally, users receive WhatsApp notifications to keep them informed about dry soil conditions. This project not only highlights our engineering expertise but also aligns several Sustainable Development Goals, underscoring our commitment to sustainability and responsible resource management.
