Dr. Mohammed ElAstal Postgraduate Workshop: Using Tenses in Research

Gulf University Research Council, in collaboration with the College of Communication & Media Technologies and in partnership with the University of Northampton, organized a postgraduate workshop on Using Tenses in Research, conducted by Dr. Mohammed ElAstal.

The workshop focused on the appropriate use of different tenses in academic and research writing. Participants explored how past, present, and future tenses are conventionally used across the introduction, literature review, methodology, results, and discussion sections of research papers and theses.

The session was structured under the Research Council’s “Knowledge shared is knowledge multiplied” initiative, giving postgraduate students practical guidance they could apply directly to their own writing.
