Gulf University Research Council hosted an International Symposium on Prompt Engineering for Researchers & Academics: Designing Effective AI Queries for Scholarly Excellence, moderated by Dr. Mohammed Alshekhly, Associate Professor at Gulf University.
The symposium brought together international guest speakers Dr. Idris Alghazali, Dr. Praveen Kumar, Ms. Rina Shahriyani, and Dr. Dheeraj Kumar to share applied techniques for crafting precise, productive AI prompts in academic contexts.
Sessions covered prompt structuring for literature analysis, hypothesis generation, drafting and revision support, and the responsible use of generative AI tools while preserving research integrity. Participants left with concrete frameworks for integrating prompt engineering into their everyday research workflow.
