
The Department of Accounting and Financial Sciences at the College of Administrative and Financial Sciences, Gulf University, successfully organized the Fourth International Accounting Day under the theme "Sustainability and Digital Transformation in Accounting: Shaping the Future of Finance." The event brought together academics, industry experts, accounting professionals, alumni, and students to discuss emerging trends shaping the future of the profession.
The event featured keynote presentations on sustainability, artificial intelligence, and digital transformation in accounting, followed by a panel discussion that explored the challenges and opportunities facing the profession in the digital era. Participants also engaged in interactive activities and networking sessions with industry leaders.
A key highlight of the event was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Gulf University and the Bahrain Accountants and Auditors Association (BAAA), reinforcing collaboration in professional development, student training, and industry engagement.
The celebration concluded with an award ceremony honoring keynote speakers, industry partners, and accounting professionals in recognition of their contributions to the profession and their support for Gulf University’s mission of preparing future-ready graduates.
