Gulf University welcomed back students enrolled in its hosted programs with the UK’s University of Northampton as they returned to classrooms for the 2026–2027 academic year.
The GU campus corridors buzzed with energy and mutual enthusiasm between the students and the faculty, who greeted them with unwavering support and guidance at the start of this new chapter.
Students pursuing Bachelor’s degrees in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Advertising and Digital Marketing, alongside Master’s students in Human Resource Management, gathered to complete their course registration for the autumn semester — setting their sights on new milestones of academic excellence through this long-standing strategic partnership.
This return marks another milestone in the successful academic alliance between Gulf University and the University of Northampton, now entering its sixth year of fruitful cooperation. The hosted programs offer students a flexible and unique opportunity to study at Gulf University’s campus in the Kingdom of Bahrain, with the option to complete their studies in the UK — combining the warmth of the local environment with the rigor of British academic standards.
The strength of this collaboration was recently underscored during the celebration of the 2025–2026 graduating class, who attended their official graduation ceremony at the home campus in Northampton, UK. Graduates earn a recognized British degree, accredited by the Higher Education Council in Bahrain and listed on the Safeer platform in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia — opening broad career horizons and ensuring strong employability through top-tier education and professional skills.
Dr. Baraa Al-Samarrai, Head of the Admissions and Registration Unit at Gulf University, noted that the unit deployed the latest technologies and resources to streamline course registration and promptly resolve any obstacles. She added that the smooth, high turnout reflects students’ commitment and enthusiasm to return to the advanced learning environment offered through the partnership with the UK institution.
Gulf University continues to accept applications for the upcoming academic year, with registration open to new and prospective students across various programs until September 28. This period also coincides with the launch of the university’s new Ph.D. programs in Media and Business Administration, offering expanded opportunities for advanced research and postgraduate study.
