MANAMA, Bahrain, Nov. 12, 2024 – Gulf University and College of Administrative and Financial Sciences reinforced its commitment to sustainability by organizing a tree-planting initiative across the university campus. Led by the Chair of Community Engagement Committee at College, faculty members and staff planted a variety of trees, enhancing the campus environment and contributing to a greener future.

The initiative aligns with Bahrain’s National Afforestation Strategy, which aims to plant 3.6 million trees by 2035 as part of the Kingdom’s broader goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2060. Gulf University’s efforts reflect its dedication to environmental stewardship and its active role in supporting national sustainability priorities.

“This initiative represents our commitment to enhancing the campus environment while contributing to the Kingdom’s ambitious afforestation and carbon neutrality goals,” a committee Chair said.
