Prof. Anne LouiseSchool of Engineering, Technology, and Design at Canterbury Christ Church University

Prof. Anne Louise, is a second-generation scientist and third-generation engineer. Anne progressed from being her father’s material testing technician as child to leading an academic aerospace engineering team to founding the School of Engineering, Technology, and Design at Canterbury Christ Church University. Under her strategic leadership, the school follows MIT's CDIO framework, providing inclusive engineering education, innovation and research fostered with local industry collaborations to benefit of all stakeholders and supporting regional and national economic growth. Anne is nationally recognized, winning awards for her contributions to gender diversity in construction and engineering. As an experienced national and international education technology researcher, and passionately develops best practices in engineering and computing education to benefit of all.

Dr. Fiona Carroll is a reader with the Cardiff School of Technologies (CST), Cardiff Met University, Wales. Her research over the past twenty years has focused on the fast-changing relations between humans and digital technologies. It is inter-disciplinary and shows a substantial contribution to scholarship in the fields of Human Computer Interaction. In particular, she is interested in the human dimensions of cyber security and how we make people more aware of what exactly is going on when they exist and interact online. As an accomplished academic, she has successfully been involved in winning a total of over £2 million in research and innovation funding and has more than ninety peer-reviewed publications. She is the current Ethics Committee Chair in CST as well as the co-leader of the Creative Computing Research Centre (CCRC). She is a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and a member of Sigma Xi, The Scientific Research Honor Society.

Before her full-time transition into academia, Funmi cultivated a wealth of expertise over nearly two decades in industry roles. Her time at leading companies such as Accenture, the NHS, and Leica Microsystems allowed her to demonstrate profound expertise across various capacities, effectively managing complex data systems and spearheading technological advancements. This extensive industry background has enriched her academic role, bringing a practical perspective to her teaching, research, and leadership.
Her academic journey began with a degree in Electronics and Software Engineering from the University of Leicester, followed by an MSc in Advanced Computing from Imperial College London, and She earned her PhD in Computer Science from Aston University, where her research centred on creating a probabilistic graphical structure derived from a model of mental health clinical expertise.
As an academic in Technology, Funmi has played a significant role in bridging theoretical knowledge with practical application. Her recently published book, "A Hands-on Introduction to Big Data Analytics," highlights her commitment to academia by equipping aspiring data professionals with essential big data analytics skills through practical, real-world examples and exercises.

Dr. Mussab Z. AswadAcademic Vice Principal - NVTC & Co-founder of AswadWeb ICT & Software Solutions

Dr. Aswad is the academic vice principal at Nasser Vocational Training Centre and holds a PhD in Information Communication Technology from De Montfort University in the United Kingdom. He is also the AI (NVIDIA) and Cloud Computing (AWS) program leader. Dr Aswad has 19 years of teaching experience and ten years of experience in information technology and knowledge management started at Applied Science University as the ICT&KM Director.

Aswad established AswadWeb ICT & Software Solutions in 2016 as a co-founder. Dr. Aswad believes it is essential that a team of workers have strong leadership that ensures they are working towards clearly perceived common objectives and that management is technically aware and responsive. Dr. Aswad’s research interests include, but are not limited to, computer science, machine learning, deep learning, intelligent transportation systems, context-aware systems, and smart cities. He has published two high-quality papers and was awarded four local and international awards.

Dr. Aswad gained experience and skills by working with a diverse group of experienced administrators and educators.
