Gulf University Celebrates International Children’s Day
Gulf University marked International Children’s Day organized by the Community Engagement and Continuing Education Center. The initiative included the distribution of gifts to children, fostering a joyful and inclusive atmosphere that embodied the university’s commitment to social responsibility and community support. The event was further enriched by the inspiring contributions of Gulf University’s professors and students, who demonstrated the spirit of generosity and humanity through their personal initiatives. Iftar
Gulf University organizes Iftar for passersby and those in need during the holy month of Ramadan!
Faculty and students actively participated in organizing and distributing the meals showcasing the university’s dedication to philanthropy towards the community.
Donation to Safety and Consultancy Center
As part of its commitment to community development and vocational advancement, Gulf University donated four mechanical vocational machines from the College of Engineering’s mechanical lab to the Safety and Consultancy Center. These contributions were designed to enhance practical training and technical skill-building for community members and students at the center. This initiative supports SDG 9 by promoting access to advanced tools in industrial education and reinforcing the university’s role in fostering innovation and infrastructure within the local community.
Clothing Swap & Donation Drive in Collaboration with Kiswa Bahrain
As part of Sustainability Week 2024, Gulf University, in collaboration with Kiswa Bahrain, organized a Clothing Swap & Donation Drive on October 21, 2024.
The initiative aimed to:
- Promote sustainable consumption by encouraging the reuse and exchange of clothing
- Support individuals and families in need by collecting and redistributing gently used garments
- Raise awareness among students and staff about the environmental and social impact of textile waste
The donation drive took place on campus and witnessed active participation from students, faculty, and administrative staff, who contributed generously to the cause. All collected items were sorted and prepared for donation in coordination with Kiswa Bahrain, a local organization committed to clothing redistribution and social welfare.
This initiative reflects Gulf University’s strong commitment to:

Support for the Friendship Society for the Blind
As part of its commitment to social inclusion and digital accessibility, Gulf University supported the Friendship Society for the Blind by donating a specialized printer, three computers, a selection of books, and 20 indoor plants. These contributions aim to enhance the learning environment and provide essential resources that empower visually impaired individuals with better access to education and digital tools. The initiative aligns with SDG 10 – Reduced Inequalities, reinforcing the university’s role in promoting equity and opportunity for all members of society.
Gold for Good – Community Donation
Held over two impactful days at Khalifa Sports City, the “Gold for Good Championship 2024” was a dynamic event combining sportsmanship, humanitarian commitment, and student engagement. The championship, hosted by Gulf University through the Community Engagement and Continuing Education Centre (CECEC), featured spirited athletic competitions that celebrated unity and social responsibility.
This unique event was organized in partnership with the Royal Humanitarian Foundation, and brought together student-athletes from various disciplines to compete while contributing to a noble cause.
As part of the event’s humanitarian objective, Gulf University donated BD 400 in support of charitable causes championed by the Royal Humanitarian Foundation. This initiative demonstrated the university’s commitment to community solidarity and social impact beyond academic boundaries
Chairs for Hamza Alziat Center
In support of inclusive community infrastructure, الجامعة الخليجية donated 8 chairs to the Hamza Alziat Center to enhance its accessibility and improve operational efficiency. This contribution is part of the university’s ongoing commitment to fostering equity and social support through practical, needs-based initiatives aligned with SDG 10 – Reduced Inequalities.
