Faculty and students from the Mechanical Engineering program conducted an educational site visit to Hidd Power Company, one of Bahrain’s major power and water production facilities. The visit provided valuable insights into large-scale power generation, desalination processes, and the operation of mechanical systems within an industrial setting.
Participants had the opportunity to tour key areas of the plant, interact with industry professionals, and observe real-time operations related to turbines, boilers, and maintenance systems. This visit effectively bridged classroom learning with real-world engineering applications, enhancing students’ understanding of energy systems and industrial practices.
